Fundamental Order of the Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz

On the occasion of its 150 years of existence in the anniversary year 2011, the Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz revised its Fundamental Order and the electoral rules. "Diakonie has its mission in the world. Even 150 years after the founding of the Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz and more than ever", wrote Pastor Christof Naef as the President of the General Conference on the occasion of the revision in October 2011.

Excerpt from the Fundamental Order of 2011:
I. Our mission and our creed
"The Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz is an international association of Mother Houses and social welfare organizations with sister and service communities based on the Kaiserswerth model. The international merger of the resulting Mother Houses and Diakonie organizations into the Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz was accomplished in the year 1861. Today, it unites Deaconess Mother Houses and Diakonie organizations with sisterhoods and other communities of women and men to whom "Diakonie in the Community" is a special matter. "

III. Our goals and objectives
"The goal of the Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz is to bring its members together and strengthen their community, to support members in their ministry and their religious life, and to promote internal and external renewal processes. The Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz wants to strengthen its member communities and organizations and at the same time remain open to all those with whom the members work together in their ministry. …“
