Berlin – Deaconess Mother House Paul Gerhardt Stift zu Berlin

Since 1876, the Paul Gerhardt Stift (foundation) has been a place of social development, spiritual life, health, education and counsel in the heart of Berlin.

Our house is open for people of different backgrounds, religions and languages. Together with other institutions and initiatives, the Paul Gerhardt Stift is getting ready to find answers to the social challenges in the district. Our vision is the idea of a "House of the Future" for the Wedding district and beyond. The Paul Gerhardt Stift is cooperating with strong partners from the district, the church and associations. With the "Wedding House of the Future", the Paul Gerhardt Stift will be able to emphasize the importance of the church for the civil society and make a contribution to the social and cultural advancement of the district. This way, a local development partnership will be able to develop between the foundation, the civil society, educational institutions, the municipality and other local protagonists.
