Wertheim – Protestant Deaconess Mother House Frankenstein

The Ev. Diakonissenmutterhaus Frankenstein e.V. (Protestant Deaconess Mother House, registered association) in Wertheim was founded in Frankenstein/Silesia in 1866.

In 1946, after the expulsion, the Deaconess Mother House was re-established on the Reinhardshof in Wertheim with its original deaconesses. In 1952, a new mother house compound was built in the district of Wertheim-Hofgarten.

Today, the Deaconess Mother House offers, among other things, breakfast for women, work with senior citizens, short-term inpatient nursing possibilities and assisted living.

The Deaconess Mother House is a partner in its subsidiary, the Diakoniezentrum Wertheim gGmbH – Wohnstift Hofgarten, and in the Beschäftigungsinitiative Wertheim (employment initiative).

The Deaconess Mother House also includes a Diaconal Sisterhood and the Association of Child Care Workers.
