Münster – Deaconess Mother House

The Mother House was founded in 1914 with the assignment of "practicing Diakonie in the Münster administrative district". Besides working in several hospitals in the Münster and Tecklenburg Regions, the deaconesses took over tasks in community care, in kindergartens and children's homes and worked with elderly people.

Another focus of the Deaconess Mother House was pedagogical and nursing education.

After the e.V. (registered association) was converted into a gGmbH (non-profit limited liability corporation) in the year 2005, ministry to old people and youth care are the remaining essential tasks. In addition to this, religious services and spiritual-pastoral support for residents and employees are provided in ecumenical cooperation.
