Görlitz – Diakonie Görlitz-Hoyerswerda, Haus Salem

The Diakonie Görlitz Foundation is a merger of long standing foundations and associations.

Bethanien (founded in 1867), Wichernhaus (founded in 1869), Lutherstift (founded in 1882), Gottessegen (founded in 1899) in Görlitz and Martinstift in Reichenbach/OL (since 1965) are the five care retirement homes of the foundation. With the Martinstift in Sohland a.R., they operate the oldest care institution for people with mental disabilities - since 1878. A Diakonie-Sozialstation (diaconal social station) in Reichenbach cares for more than 150 patients. In Görlitz, a day care center for remedial education and three facilities for children provide support for about 200 children.

Central administration is based in Reichenbach/OL.
