45th General Assembly convenes in 2025 on diaconal engagement in a changing world
The Presidium of the Kaiserswerth General Conference has determined the theme of next year's assembly. A meeting was also held in Brussels with Eurodiaconia and the EU Commission.

International diaconal network meets on sustainability issues
"Sustainability - locally rooted, globally connected in Diakonia" was the theme of the 44th Kaiserswerth General Assembly. On June 9 and 10, around 60 participants from nine countries gathered at the Haraldsplass Diaconia Foundation in Bergen, Norway.

Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz about the potential of togetherness in turbulent times
"Community – more than ever! The potential of togetherness in turbulent times" was the motto of the 43rd Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz. From June 14 through 17, 2018, 117 executives of the more than 100 member institutions from 13 countries met for the conference at the von Bodelschwinghschen Stiftungen in Bielefeld-Bethel.

Diaconal study tour to the American health system
From September 30 through October 7, 2017, a diaconal study tour led to New York City. The focus of the tour was on gaining insights into the American healthcare system by visiting various hospitals, public care facilities, educational institutions and historic health care places.

Terttu Pohjolainen, new president of the Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz
The world-wide Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz, an association of more than 100 diaconal institutions, has re-assigned its Executive Committee and continued the planning for the 43rd General Conference in 2018 in Bethel and for the diaconal study tour to New York City in fall 2017.

Diaconal study tour to visit the Polish Diakonia
From September 21 through 25, 2016, this year’s diaconal study tour of the Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz led about 40 participants to Poland. Accompanying the journey to meet with members of the Polish Diakonia was former Diakonie President Pastor Klaus-Dieter Kottnik.

Communiqué of the 41st Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz
In the future, the Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz wants to promote the founding of diaconal communities in Eastern Europe, maintain an exchange across traditional boundaries and offer executives a forum for the strengthening of the Kaiserswerth identity. This was decided by the KGK in Kaiserswerth near Dusseldorf.
