Detmold - diakonis - Stiftung Diakonissenhaus

Diakonis is a Protestant foundation under private law and was founded in 1899. Today, the focus of the work is on ministry to old people.

This includes facilities for full-time and part-time inpatient care, assisted living, home care, a hospice, food on wheels and training at the specialist seminar for geriatric care.

Approximately 1,000 people use the services (Hilfen zum Leben – assisted living) every day and they are cared for by about 700 employees.
